Using contest models in portfolio?

Hi cad crowd friends,
I am wondering if I can put an unused blind contest entry in my portfolio "after the winner is chosen".
The contest> https://www.cadcrowd.com/contest/3549-flying-insect-repelling-nebulizer.
A couple of days ago after the contest had ended, I went to the contest to see if my request to extend it was accepted.
I was excited to see there were over 3 days showing in the remaining ☺ - worked to complete my contest entry for next 2 days.
Went to the contest page today to submit my design... only to discover there is no submit design button?? "Remaining still shows 23hrs."
I have sent a request to the contest holder. Hope he can open it back up.
My question is, if the contest ends before a designer submits, can they use their designs in their portfolio?
Thanks

Hi Gary,

You can send a message to the contest holder by clicking the "Chat" button on the client's profile. If he wants to select your contest as a winning entry, he can extend the contest submission deadline by contacting the support team.

Since the contest is marked as private, it's best to avoid sharing design details on your public profile that could reveal the design of the product the client wants to create.

Allowing clients to close a contest early was intended to prevent unnecessary work if the client had already decided to select a design from a specific person. We always strongly suggest to clients that they keep the contest open for the full duration to give everyone a chance to submit their entry.

Tip: If you click the "Save" button on the contest page, you will receive contest update emails if the client decides to close the project early (see the screenshot below).

Thank you for your timely response,
I've reached out to him 3 times with no response (including chat)
Hate to let my work go to waste so, after a few more days, I will move on - my design will be changed, it will become a Bluetooth speaker.
I will print it out and enjoy☺
