Description:
I need a quick/simple cad drawing for a staircase in an apartment. We are replacing the staircase and frame and we wanted to put the drawing into cad with the dimensions.
Wants:
I don't have this information yet. I am meeting with my dad tomorrow to get more of the dimensions etc.
Software:
- AutoCAD (open)
Additional Information
Attached is a sketch and some of the dimensions. These are the photos of the staircase. My dad and I are going to replace it but we just need a drawing to show and the wood panel in the back if you can add that on the drawing as well.

Johanna,
The two most important dimensions when laying out a stair are the total RISE (Height from ground to landing) and the RUN (from first bottom tread nosing to the last top tread nosing). The nosing is the tip of the tread. If you can provide this information a stair detail can be produced. Also need the width, which I think is 48" based on your sketch.

Hi! I am sorry for the delay I have been out of town and will be returning back home tonight. I will get more information and attach more drawings!
Thank you,
Johanna
Thank you,

Hanna,
Do you need the handrails to be design?
Please reconfirmed the total runs and total rise.

I also got confused....
Riser looks like 8" height...
Treads looks like 10" width...
Hanna please help us entangled this uncertainity

hello again
do you intend to have the 'treads' made from 2-off 2"x4" edge to edge or can they be one 2"x8" plank. this may depend on your joiner/timber supplier.
I have shown 2"x8" but can easily add detail

Hi, Hugh I think that the steel plate you are asking is the existing 2"x 4"( PDF drawing) underneath the upper landing. Hanna is that a 2 x 4? it looks to me more like a 2 x 6.
I'm finding a bit hard to read your sketch - is it possible for you to redraw it on clear white paper with basic dimensions (height of staircase is crucial)...tnx
hi, I have submitted a replacement design for your stairs, if this is what you require I shall submit and/or modify the AutoCAD files, I can also create a 3D model.

Hi Hanna,
Please remember to include attachments so the designers will fully understand your project. If you need help including these, please refer to this link http://goo.gl/mnFSgg and our help pages.

The Water Wheel Kayak
We are looking to blend the kayak with the pedal boat.
What we want is to recreate the design thought up by Hobie Cat in which they incorporate a pedal design within the kayak. However, we want the pedals to be linked to two water wheels on the side rather than the "fin" system that Hobie Cat uses. (see photo for details)
This kayak needs to incorporate a pedal system where people would normally just rest their feet. It would also have to showcase two water wheels on the side. We want the water wheels to be linked by an axe so that they may be easily removed from the kayak if the user chooses to do so.
For kayak base use Prower 13 by Ocean Kayak (picture attached).
The new design would have
A) two pedals where one would normally rest their feet. (see Slayer 13 picture for pedal design inspiration)
B) An axe with two water wheels that would be placed at the front the of kayak above the pedals but below the hatch. (See the water wheel picture for inspiration)
We'd like the water wheels to be removable and not as bulky as the one in the "Water Wheel picture"
What we need- 2 drawings, one from the top, one from the side (just like the slayer 13 picture)
360 Panorama Rendering
I need a model of an Office Space area created based on dwg file I have attached and then a single camera point 360 Panoramic Render. I need to be able to visualize desks chairs, tables etc. I need a test Render to be started and have the number of frames, the CPU make and model on your computer and the average time it takes a frame to render. I will be sending these off to a render farm so please deliver the specs for the highest render quality.
The delivery will include:
1. CAD Model of an Office Space
2. The prepped and set up Camera Position for the 360 Panoramic render.
3. CPU Make and Model on you system
4. Test Render Specs: 1. Number of Frames 2. Average time per frame
5. Low Res Render or screen shot to show what office model looks like.
6. Quote of what this would cost regularly.
cordage cam and hook
This is to be a prototype device so it may have a few iterations. There will be additional funds for a planned phase II of this prototype. The idea is a way to secure cordage or twine. The rough specs are 40mm long, 20mm wide and 5mm thick at the base. The cam should be modeled similarly to the look of something you would see on a sailboat. The arch must be just slightly lower than the top of the cam. The cam should be usable for 2mm-6mm cordage.
Wheel Rocker
I want a design for a device that will rotate a wheel about 10 inches in outer diameter about 1 complete rotation back and forth. I prefer for the device to sit on the floor and rotate the wheel back and forth instead of attaching to the carriage frame since I don’t have any carriage specs and they may vary depending on which model is being used The device could attach to the wheel itself, rim or tire. It should be adjustable though to fit on a few different size wheels. It should be designed to be able to adjust to a wheel from 7 - 10 inches.
