Surya is a wrist wearable that tracks the mind: focus, mindfulness, flow state, stress etc. It's like Whoop, but for the mind.Objective:
To design the wristband.
Key points:
1. Minimalism: Clean, simple lines with no excessive elements.
2. Comfort and Practicality: Lightweight and ergonomic for all-day wear. Adjustable and comfortable for a wide range of wrist sizes.
3. Form Factor: Unobtrusive wristband that blends seamlessly with everyday wear.
4. Option for interchangeable case & bands in different colours and materials (e.g., vegan leather, silicone, or stainless steel).
No Screen:
5. A screenless design with LED indicators that show users' state of mind ie focus level in real time at a glance
6. A detachable battery (refer to Whoop)
User Experience Goals:
1. A device that feels like a natural extension of the body.
2. A design that promotes calmness, focus, and a connection to the present moment.
3. Avoid anything overly flashy or loud—this is a tool for introspection and growth.
Deliverables:
1. Concept sketches of the wristband design (top, side, and 3D views).
2. Material and color palette suggestions.
3. Renderings for how the wristband looks on a variety of wrist types.

Hi there, please rate my designs. It helps to create a profile here from my creations for guests like yourself. Plus, it helps to know if the designs are something you like or don't like. Leaving no rating doesn't help the designer and that's the whole idea here. It's based on design skills. Would be nice to know if anything you like. Thank you.
Hi Jakey2, The contest might yield better results if you prepay and configure the designs to be hidden, so that only you can see them. I made a very nice attempt yesterday, but I’ll wait to see if you adjust this setting before proceeding further. Please let us know your thoughts on this request.

I mean I assume you already know what the inner working will be like but do want this competition entry to include those details. Or will you be providing at least what is the minimum internal space that you need to house whatever sensors you need to house
Do you want the inner workings of how the eeg/bp data gathering will work or just aesthetic?

Safety Glasses Clippable Heads-Up Warning Device
Design a product concept for a warning system which clips to a users safety glasses to provide audible and visual warnings of nearby workplace hazards. Module should clip-on existing modern safety glasses. There should be a warning light in the user’s peripheral vision and speaker aimed down towards users ear. (Optional) forward facing flashlight. Include 1 push-button for “snoozing” warnings, and another push-button for the flashlight.
Bluetooth tag: Make me look good.
This is a small Bluetooth wearable that attaches to a 12 mm watch strap. Functionally it's finished, what it lacks is desirability. Right now it looks like a tech gadget. I want it to look like a piece of jewellery: something premium and refined that people actually want to wear.
The overall length, width and height are fixed, and the internal layout is set. You may rework the surface, the doming, the curvature, the corner radii. Keep the body as full as possible against those outer dimensions: internal volume is precious, so don't pull the walls inward unless it clearly makes the device more beautiful. A small amount of inward shaping is open for discussion if it genuinely lifts the design, just keep it to a minimum. Work from the supplied 3D model.
The casing must be openable so the battery can be replaced (required by upcoming regulation). The current parting line is not fixed, you may reposition it. The USB-C port and the button sit opposite each other in the same shape, so running the line through the centre of both would be a logical, symmetrical choice, as long as the casing still opens and seals cleanly. The USB-C port and the button need to go a bit up in the casing, because they are now where the battery needs to go (~ 2mm).
Beyond that you're free to rework the finish, colour, material look, the LED and the speaker opening. Think jewellery-grade finishes and tones, brushed silver, gold, rose, copper, matte ceramic, two-tone. The LED is multicolour (RGB), so the window must render different colours cleanly. It can take any shape, including a round, flush, translucent window that only shows when lit. The speaker opening can become a decorative element rather than a plain hole, and it can move, including to one of the sides if that suits the design better. Both the LED and speaker must stay sealed and water-resistant.
It should appeal to men and women alike, grown-up and refined, but not stuffy or traditional. It also has to be timeless: still good-looking in five or ten years, not tied to a passing trend. The test is simple: would someone choose to wear this as jewellery? Keep it elegant, minimal and quietly modern. Less "device", more "object".
Optional inspiration (not a requirement, propose your own if you have something stronger): the brand is about finding things and staying connected without limits. If it fits naturally, the LED and/or speaker openings could double as a small signature mark on the surface rather than plain functional holes. Treat this purely as a direction, not a spec.
Wearable Pill Storage and Managment

Overview:
In essence, it's a bracelet that holds multiple days worth of a medication and has some of our custom hardware in it. (hardware is roughly .5" by .75", but will become smaller in the future). Please see sketches for further information
Design:
We would like to be able to store different types of pills in different parts of the bracelet. I've included some very rough concepts of my own, but I am by no means a designer or artist and need help figuring out the best way to do this. The CAD image is something that I quickly made for a first prototype a while ago. It is inefficient in terms of storage and very clunky - not what we are going for. An innovative design is the primary thing that we are looking for. We aren't particularly concerned at this point in time if it has fancy waves on the outside, crystals, or beveled edges. It is still important for the bracelet to be aesthetic, but the "jewelry" aspect of this can be done at a later time. It is far more important that we maximize the number of pills that it can hold without having a massive and uncomfortable bracelet. Furthermore, one concept that we are considering is to have a core bracelet that has our hardware in it and then supplementary 'bands' of the medication. We are open to other design options if you think you have something more optimal! If you only have one medication, then there either would only be one band or there can be place holder pieces/blanks that would go in the places if you were to have multiple medications.
Mechanisms:
Access to the pill should be fairly user friendly. I've thought about many different designs, all ranging from individual compartments with covers, one large cover that snaps over, a sliding cover, and even a spring loaded mechanism that pushes out the pills one at a time. I understand that it will be a bit more difficult to make this bracelet compact. Ideally it would hold 1 weeks worth of medication. With that being said, it would be even better if the bracelet held multiple medications, but that is more pills.
Pills:
The type of pill is something that we're currently working with. The larger pills are about 22mm in the greatest dimension. Most pills are circular or oval shaped. The median is approximately 15 mm. Things like birth control, heart medication, seizure medication, etc.
Sports Timing Transponder
We have designed a 2.4 GHz transponder that is used for sports timing. We require a plastic housing to be designed for this small wearable device.
The PCB has a solar cell on one side and a small 40 mAh LiPo battery on the other.
The transponder is used in running, cycling and Triathlon type events, so we need it to be completely waterproof, we prefer that the unit is ultrasonically welded to form a hermetically sealed product.
The transponder will need to worn by runners, attached to bicycle forks, attached onto ankle straps, etc. An approach we would like to take with the design is to allow for the transponder itself to have a minimalistic design with a universal mounting option that allows for it to be attached to a separately designed Bike mount, or wrist strap.
Ie: the Bike Mount would be a separate design that cable ties (zip ties) to the front fork of a bicycle, then the transponder clips onto or locks into the bike mount. This would allow for future designed mounting accessories, while keeping the transponder design standard.
The design considerations include:
- The housing must be completely waterproof (Hermetically sealed). We would prefer that the unit is sealed with ultrasonic welding.
- We use a solar cell on the top of the PCB to charge the small LiPo battery, so there should be a transparent section in the housing to allow for light to reach the solar cell so that the LiPo remains charged.
I have attached an image of the transponder as well as an STL file of the PCB Assembly. We can send further information and output files as required.
Hard-Hat Clipable Safety Notification System (#3)
