Rhino3D Veterans and Hobbyists, we are creating a showcase of innovative and spectacular 3D designs created using Rhino3D in the cloud. We offer secure, instant access to the latest, officially licensed versions of Rhino software. We invite you to use Rhino - at no cost to you - for the duration of this contest. Feel free to use any existing project www.rhino3d.com/features/file-formats ; you don’t have to create something specific for this contest (See requirements below).

* Designs need to be relatable to a global audience and not of a sexual nature.
* All entries that complete our requirements (see below) will be honored
* Multiple entries per designer is allowed
* This contest will have three (3) Main prizes, and two (2) runner up prizes.
* Output format is to be Rhino (*.3dm) format.

Your files will be used to create a showcase of innovative designs and your source files will be used as Getting Started inspiration for new designers on the platform. All selected designs will get their name attributions mentioned on our showcase.

* A new user needs to reasonably recreate this Project in less than or equal to five (5) hours on the platform.

***** IMPORTANT PERFORMANCE CONSIDERATIONS *****

Please read the following in order to optimize your performance experience on the Infinite-Compute Cloud Platform:

Infinite-Compute currently has two (2) Data Centers – one on the US East Coast (New York), and one on the US West Coast (San Jose). You can expect the best experience about 500 miles from either one of these Data Centers.

You could expect latency or performance impact if you are using:
* Low bandwidth internet provider
* Poor or unreliable Wi-Fi connection
* Too High a resolution Browser window, just make the windows smaller. (1. minimize your app, 2. make the window smaller, 3. refresh your browser, then maximize your app.)

We’ve had reasonable experiences outside of the 500 miles from every corner of the globe. Just not the perfect experience you get when you are close to a data center and have good internet and wifi.

Note: We take your experience on our platform very seriously. Ensuring that our global users have the optimal user experience on the Infinite-Compute platform is critical to our promise of creating a global empowerment platform for freelance or small business designers and engineers. We continue to monitor performance and new Data Centers to our network.

LEGAL RIGHTS

By entering into this platform you grant us permission to use your designs and source files on the Infinite-Compute platform for showcase and marketing use, and not for commercial purposes.

Limitation on free usage: Each account is limited to 5 hours of free usage. If you need more, send an email to support@infinite-compute.com and we’ll evaluate on a case by case basis.

Dear CAD Crowd creators - This contest has officially ended and want to thank so many of you for your interest and especially those who took the time to participate. Apparently CAD Crowd does not have a way to allow us to do a public voting, so we will judge the contest with the experienced CAD professionals on our staff. We will plan on releasing results next week. We will also get a survey out to you shortly. Thanks again for your active interest and participation, and we hope to connect with you again in the near future. All the best in all you do,

Hi Supra77 - thanks for your questions. According to the Cad Crowd contest rules, once the contest ends later today, we have two weeks to review and decide the winners. (though I don't believe we will take that long). We plan on sending you the survey a few days after the contest ends. Will let you know so you can expect it. Thanks for asking Supra77.

Hall of Optical Illusions
I need a 3D CAD drawing of a Room of optical illusions for a permanent exhibit. This is in the conceptual stages. There will be other rooms requiring CAD drawings, but this is a pilot contest to see range of creativity and successfulness of contest. Room size +- 25 ft x 30 ft but if it looks too cramped, it can be larger. Estimate 10-15 people max in it at a given time. Entrance is shown on left side of room Exit is either through same or opening at top left of room No windows or other entrance / exits On display within room will be +- 20 posters – they do not need to all be on the perimeter walls. I am attaching 10 illusion samples for illustrative purposes. If you can work them into the CAD drawing, that would be a bonus. I am thinking about a few hanging displays dotted throughout the room, possibly hanging on chains from the ceiling. I am open to all ideas. There will be 5 interactive illusions that will require some kind of table top that is accessible for kids There will be distorting/fun mirrors in one area - 5-6 total mirrors There will be 2 x interactive Opti Illusion floor (see this weblink for demo video http://www.optimusic.com/opti-illusion.) Space needed is +- 3 by 5 ft I am looking for ideas of room design and color themes for walls and floor, and lighting I am leaning towards a lot of white but with black and white mixed in, tied in with optical illusion theme, but open to all ideas.
Smart Bed Design
1. We are looking for you to design a moving smart bed. This bed will be used by consumers in their bedroom to improve sleep and help with sleep disorders. 2. The main part if the Gough-Stewart platform under the bed. You will understand this platform with the following material: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a7/Hexapod_general_Anim.gif https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Stewart-platform_fig12_289097700 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmKnnp1xTPg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d84X60If2vM The bed will move along all three xyz axis and be able to rotate along each axis. You design for a 160cm wide bed and you will have to decide about the best measures of the platform. The upper ring hold the motors can be of greater, lower or same size as the bottom ring. If you want to propose an alternative platform construction for the platform, let us know. On image 1 you see that there are additional braces on the lower ring going to head and end part of the bed. They prevent the bed from tilting and they have to exist also on the lateral sides. 3. Have a look at images 2- 3 to see how the platform is attached to the bed frame with its upper ring. We have also attached the 3D.smt file of these images. The duckboard will be put in this bedframe and on top of it a mattress as in a regular bed. Design a light-weight, stylish bedframe that can be presented to non-technical customers. Be free in your creativity (colors, shapes etc.). Experiment with measures to find the balance between flexibility in movement and stylish design. Image 4 is ONE example for a bedframe (without the side extensions at the head part; the polished wood texture looks nice, the edges are rounded, the matress is overall covered in a white frame). 4. The bed has to be equipped with LED lights and loudspeakers. It has to be stylish and innovative and combine modern technology with human’s tradition of sleep. LED lights could be attached to the outer bedframe for example. Ideally you provide two textures of the bed (e.g. wood, white) Add pillows, blankets in the color you like. 5. Put the bed in a surrounding that you think fits: e.g. stylish bedroom, big panorama window or even plain area etc. 6. Finally, we need the 3D files of the smartbed. Please take the following shots of the model: - only the mechanical platform - mechanical platform with bedframe and without mattress with duckboard - mechanical platform with bedframe and with mattress - mechanical platform with bedframe and with mattress with LED lights turned on - close up of the LED and loudspeakers - It is not a must, but will be a plus, if you animate the movement of the bed so that it rocks like a rocking bed The more perspectives, the better. If you have two versions of the bed (e.g. wood, white), show us the pictures in both versions. 7. Intended audience: Your model will be presented to large customer audience and we will give the winner credit. The pictures need to look very realistic. We want to work with the winner for future projects (e.g. animating the bed movement). We are willing to select several winners.
The interior of wooden houses
Hi! I urgently need to make the visualization of the interior of three houses. It's actually quite simple. All you need to do is just apply the material of wood in the interior (floors, ceiling, beams, etc.) In some images you will need to make the fireplace, as specified in the example. I attached 3 ready models with the camera settings. And all the other additions you will find in the attached file. In the example, there are all images which correspond to the name of each house. Unfortunately I can't give more information, because that's all I was given by the customer. But if you carefully view all of the attached material, everything is clear described.
