Description:
Design and prototype an iPhone and iPod touch case that incorporates a right angle lens and 2x zoom lens. Also maybe model a cavity for extra battery pack if possible. A laser pointer would be a bonus.

I realize the components will result in a somewhat bulky design. I am ok with that.

Also, not sure how to budget here. Putting 1000 to start.

Come to think of it ricban, we can maybe sneak a the small tulip type battery pack in the handle?

The battery pack is optional.. but if we could sneak an aftermarket battery pack ( Mophie or similar ) in the case cavity that would be beneficial.

Hello dfafard,
I had a question about the battery pack. Can you elaborate on this?
Thank you,
ricban

The trick is to marry the right angle lens to the zoom lens and align to the iPods camera in a case that supports everything.

Hi cadcupid,
1. Yes the user will pick up and interact with the case. i.e. walk to inventory location and scan code.
2. Yes any other can be used ( i have not found any other yet ) And yes, I need the cast to provide structural integrity to the assembly. ( even if the case has to be bulky )

hi dfafard,
I have some questions, please.
1. Does the user still have to pick up the case? (handheld design) or does the user simply have to click to scan a code at 4ft (tabletop design) ?
2. Can any other right angle lens be used? The combination of lenses that you have provided are not directly compatible with each other. i.e. one can not be placed over the other like in your design. Or is this what you want the case to function as? to provide structural integration to this assembly?

Hi ricban,
I think the case would be a good option and also, this would be permanent.
Here is the use case. I am using QR code scanning with great success in my organization. I am basically swapping out Symbol Bar code readers for this tech. But.. I am limited on ease of use for two reasons. 1. The user has to "pick up the iPod vertically" to see what they are scanning instead of holding the device on a more natural horizontal plane. and 2. The distance between the user and code is currently 4 ft.

So the goal would be to utilize a the right angle lens ( periscope ) in conjunction with the 2x Zoom so I could accomplish the goal and ease of use.

and is this permanent or when needed?
thank you

Are you looking for something that attaches securely to the case or would you like it embedded? The reason I ask is that, if you want it embedded you are basically asking for a mold for a case. Could you elaborate more on how it is to be used and the end user.
Thank you
Rick

Thanks Lucian, I uploaded a rough sketch. As for paid or pre-paid, I do not know what will happen here. Can I get a fully mocked up "real" sample or id this just 3D CAD renderings? Also, Could someone help me manufacture these in small quantities ? Thanks, Just a newbee here.

Hi David,

Please remember to include attachments so the designers will fully understand your project. If you need help including these, please refer to this link http://goo.gl/mnFSgg and our help pages.

Also, pre-paid projects often receive 4-5X the number of entires received by "Payment Pending" work. Most of our top designers only work on pre-paid contests to ensure the buyer is serious about the work.

Thanks,
Lucian

Euler Motors
Govt. of India has introduced new category of Vehicle - E Rickshaw last year primarily to uplift the working condition of rickshaw-pullers (from an otherwise physically taxing mode of commute, rickshaw pullers and drivers now have an easier and greener alternative.) E Rickshaw comes in two variant - Passenger Vehicle and Goods Carrier. Euler Motors is working on 3 Wheeler Electric Good Carrier variant for Indian Market - Tier 3/4 Markets { Villages, Small Townships }. Here is specification according to government :- 1. Top Speed = 25 Km/H 2. Load Capacity = 310 Kgs 3. Length x Width x Height = 2.8 m x 1 m x 1.8 m . (Dimensions are in Meters) Here are some of the existing version of E Rickshaw Goods Carrier :- https://goo.gl/kTx6ho https://goo.gl/vWCgjm https://goo.gl/wFLdQZ https://goo.gl/SSYsfy https://goo.gl/3FTk7n https://goo.gl/p2xjS3 Salient Features That Euler Motors is working on :- 4.3” Inch Digital Display { Link = https://goo.gl/5EJFuw } instead of Regular Dial based display { Link = https://goo.gl/CpC4fv }. This display will display stats around Speed, Battery Left, Temp., Headlights, Indicator Reverse Backup Camera : To enhance Safety of the vehicle and driver, a reverse backup camera will be attached to the rear - centre of the vehicle. Display from camera would appear on the 4.3” Digital display when vehicle reverses. Li Ion Battery will be placed in front of the vehicle {below the driver’s seat}. However the structure should be made in a way that the battery can taken out from enclosure within 2 minutes if required. Entire battery back will consist of 2 modules. Each module will be of following dimensions Each Module’s Weight = 12 Kgs Each Module’s size : Length x Width x Height = 220 mm x 210 mm x 355 mm 2 Modules can be arranged along the width of vehicle or height in the battery pack. Required Items inside the Vehicle:- Li Ion Charging Spot needs to be on the vehicle installed. Vehicle needs to include First Aid Box Mini Fire Extinguisher Vehicle Charging Point needs to be on vehicle { https://goo.gl/Ngp8KZ , https://goo.gl/5p7buC } Standard vehicle parts - Front head light {LED headlight}, Front Indicator, Tail Lights, Rear Indicator, brake pedal. The interior of wooden houses
Hi! I urgently need to make the visualization of the interior of three houses. It's actually quite simple. All you need to do is just apply the material of wood in the interior (floors, ceiling, beams, etc.) In some images you will need to make the fireplace, as specified in the example. I attached 3 ready models with the camera settings. And all the other additions you will find in the attached file. In the example, there are all images which correspond to the name of each house. Unfortunately I can't give more information, because that's all I was given by the customer. But if you carefully view all of the attached material, everything is clear described.
