ok...
-Does the filter get hot? Would there need to be vents?
please read the above answers, it does not get hot at all

1.for input and output ,what is the prefered diameter of it will be holes
--- 3cm for both holes
2. Are you need a sight lamp glass for indicate the user the divice in service or not
--- nope
3. Steel/alu is a better choice because they have much better EMI shielding property than plastic. Copper is the best, but often hard to deal with due to various reasons.
4. no buttons are needed.
thanks

I already design your model and i hope you to answer the following Question to Execute :
for input and output ,what is the prefered diameter of it will be holes
Are you need a sight lamp glass for indicate the user the divice in service or not
what is your openion for manufacture the cover from Polymers or Plastics and why from Aluminuim and Metal
Are you need a button for operate the device and if yes what the dimension you prefered
Sorry for these long Comments and ques.

what if we create 3d model in SW2012 and provide you DWGs and iges?
Ashraf waly, where are your questions?
Please,Reply to my Questions

as long as it is convertible to other formats, it is fine.
Advandes-
Yes, those nuts and washers must be stay there, and the enclosures must fit in. 13cm includes the washer and nuts

again, as long as it can converted, im open to options.

Does this unit generate any heat? and if it does how much? Temp range if available or on a scale of 1-10?
Can it be free standing or will it be rack mounted?

Hi RayL,
Are you open to having the design completed in Solidworks?

Hi RayL,
Regarding the end of your filter with the two protruding threaded pipes with nuts and washers; I assume these are going to remain and the new enclosure will have to fit around these items. Can you please verify this? Also, does your overall dimension of 13cm take in account for these protruding items? Thanks!

Could I design it in CATIA? The models can be exported in pretty much any format so there wouldnt be any compatibility issues.
Hi Steve,
Steampunk.. interesting. Will it be will complicated for CNC? what kind of ideas do you have in mind? I do love the retro style from Fallout, like this
http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20080708140119/fallout/images/b/b0/FO3_Sputnik_concept.jpg
I do prefer CNC/assemble the CNC pcs together. 3D printers are very very rare here, not sure if I can access it.

I can offer a 3D print of the enclosure also
Steam punk? I can make steam punk designs. Lots of XP with cnc programs too... hope I can find time to get to it
Yes Amir Perle, that is fine. The CNC machines do support that format.
May I design in Solidworks and submit the design in STP or X_T?
Hi Guru
The rectangular thing in the photo is the filter. The project is to put this filter into a enclosure. A nice looking enclosure.
Basically you just need to put the filter into the case. The outer enclosure is only for decoration or maybe some sort of shielding.
1cm thickness is correct. It will be made in China where these kind of materials are easily accessible at a reasonable price.
The input on one side (left), output on the other side (right).
let me know if you have any more questions.
thanks

Hi RayL,
Could you re-confirm thickness of enclosure 1cm. I assume it is 1mm. Please correct if am wrong.
Also could you give us filter drawing or photos. Your inputs consists of similar enclosures, but filter drawing/photo is missing.
Re-confirm input and output cable opening should be both sides of filter or only one side.
Sorry for asking more questions, but without this details preparing the drawing is difficult.
Thanks

Replicate Macbook Pro Cover
We are looking for someone to help us replicate a shell case for a MacBook Pro in a CAD format drawing that will function and fit the desired measurements. Our goal is to be able to take this design to a manufacturer for building. This case will include two parts: a top and a bottom. These parts need to be able to be built separately.
Please see attached PDF for measurements
This design should also be flexible enough to be adjustable so we can fit both the 15” and the 13” models. These models will be first produced in a CNC environment so the file must work within those constraints.
The design should not include the bottom leg pads.
The case we are looking to replicate is http://www.amazon.com/Speck-Products-SeeThru-Raspberry-SPK-A1498/dp/B00937DOEK
We have most of the measurements but a second look would help.
Wants: someone who either has a mac or can get their hands on one to see the coverture on the top and bottom case. Something that will actually can be produced.
Main focus is on the 15" model case.
Extra: additional Money can be earned if also completing the older version of the macbook pro case. also included in the PDF. 2012 version. $50.
Knee-based Travel Mug Holder - New Product Design / Prototype
Commuters on buses and trains don't have cup holders, and so they are left with the balancing act of holding their travel mug in one hand, while trying read the paper or work on their laptops with their other hand. This sucks, causes spills, and is super uncomfortable. Commuters need something that's compact and foldable that can then open and attach comfortably to their knee (or another body part?) that will securely hold travel mugs of different sizes.
Flour Measuring Dispenser
We are looking for a new way to measure kitchen ingredients. Particularly, we are looking for a new way to measure Flour/Sugar.
Right now, we are open to ideas. We want to see what you come up with.
Some features we are looking for:
- Plastic vase that can fit 1 kg
- A lid designed so it can be used to measure specific amounts with ease.
- Looking for maybe a button, or release mechanism that allows the flour/sugar to dispense itself with ease.
- The measurements have to be specific, 50g, 100g, etc.
So the final design should incorporate a a 1 kg volume holding plastic vase, that has a new innovative way of dispensing precise amounts* with ease.
*Amounts=measurements e.g. 50g, 1 cup, 2 oz
