Description:This is a solar powered door and window sensor, it has very specific PCB and solar cell sizing (see attached files).
The sensor itself will need concealed mounting screws and a flat back so it can be attached also using double stick tape.
It will also need a small magnet in a plastic housing (with a way to mount the magnet) This will mount to the door or window and will trigger the contact when opened or closed.
white plastic should be used for the case, this will be used in a separate application where it may be mounted on a wall without a magnet (different sensor inside) and white is needed for that application. you can use a very slightly frosted lens over the solar cell, but it can also be clear to show the glass from the solar cell. think iphone design or sleek modern looks, it's ok to consume the entire front with solar cell, or to add some space that is not solar cell.

Looking for packaging and industrial design help for a new project. This device will mount to a wall or ceiling in a commercial building. This device enclosure will need to let air into the device to contact up to 5 individual sensors. (See Attachment for general size of components and constraints) Top wants -Max form factor of 7" wide x 4.5" tall x 1" off wall (electrical box configuration) Wall mount could be up to 2" max off wall - Attractive look for commercial office or educational buildings in landscape primarily, but also look good in portrait orientation. - Sensor Status light feature for the entire unit (easy to view, sleek, but not eyesore during general use) -Sensors need to be retained securely during shipment, but be accessible for replacement later on by unskilled labor. Other Wants: From the front look. Front Bezel attaches to Back housing for periodic sensor replacement (must be easy). Minimal Profile off wall Airflow on bottom / side surfaces Mounts to a 3-Gang electrical box (old & new work boxes & have surface mount option. Reverse Flow, Offset BBQ Smoker: That is actually visually appealing.
Reverse flow, offset BBQ smokers cook amazing barbecue. I am looking to start a small custom reverse flow bbq smoker fabricating company that prides itself on quality built reverse flow bbq's with the design and visual appeal that our industry lacks. 97% of smokers out there are made with all-black powder coated steel. With this business venture, I want to target the every day "backyard BBQ'er" and have these smokers sit on their back porch/deck. From the various company's out there who build smokers, there is very little color and trim details such as stainless steel, wood accents and painted powder coating. I'm looking to change that. I'm looking for someone to create an initial design for our first prototype. From there, the plan is to create 3-4 more different sized reverse flow smokers with varying design finishes. Final goal would be to have 5 different sized reverse flow smokers to create a "product line" for us to build and sell.
