Contest Ended, Winner(s) have been selected.
Description:
I'd like to have several tuck and fold boxes designed to look like elegantly wrapped gifts with nothing but the printed box and I would tie a ribbon around the box. The box in and of itself will have a glossy finish - but it should not look so much like a typical branded box - but should make the recipient feel like it is a beautiful gift. The use of simplicity and bold graphics to achieve a striking effect is key. It would be nice if the inside of the lid had a color and graphic when the user opens it. Inside the box will be a green and white marbled tissue paper (file attached). So the box needs to compliment this tissue paper and work with brand assets. I will be printing with Packlane.com so you can see how their box prints look. I have attached a sample of what a "tuck and fold" box looks like.
Wants:
I would between 4-6 box styles so that when they are put together the various styles compliment eachother as a family of gift wrapped packages. The final ribbon color will be Ivory and Black (most likely a light box with the black ribbon and the ivory ribbon off the dark box). They finished look can display whimsy or humor (eyes peeking out or text). The designs need to incorporate brand assets. I have attached brand logo, mark, colors, the wrapping paper is inside the box and the first thing you see when you open the box. Effectively a look worthy of Barneys New York. For the mock up - these will be the final sizes but not all six need to be used (any 4 is fine).
12 x 8.25 x 6”
15 x 11 x 2”
6.25 x 6.25 x 3”
6.25 x 7.5 x 3”
19 x 14 x 4”
28 x 18 x 6”
Don't Wants:
No Seasonal or Holiday references. Nothing childish or gaudy or with logos everywhere. Nothing that requires a complicated ribbon ties or bows. I plan on just tying the ribbon once across the middle or perpendicular across box with a simple shoe lace bow.
Company Logo:
Yes
Software:
- Adobe Illustrator

#2 Elegant box
by Arhitecto
We hope you like this design. It has the elegant light green, with a pinch of blue, that you wanted to be used. The box is luxury and very elegant and yet simple. It looks nice. This version is the wider one that you wanted.
We will provide more solutions and even a video clip of the box if you are interested in.

Discussion
I took a look at the packlane.com website and I saw that there are three types of boxes that can be customized. The types are: Mailer Box, Folding Carton and Shipping Box. I think you're interested in a design like type “Mailer Box”. Is my assessment correct?
Hi,
Nice contest here ;)
what do you get if I participate?

Hi Boulevard, let me know if my design (
) it's ok according to what you have asked, any suggestions to improve it?

Is it all right now? Tell us if it is not and we will change it to your wishes.
Hello, the
submission shows the closed view - but it is not a "tuck and fold" box. It is a 2 piece box. Each of these 4 submissions are basically identical except for size. In general the visual on this is not very appealing to me. I like the icon placed in the corner - but the use of white and ivory on the outside on alternating panels is not aesthetically pleasing to me.

Hope you like. If you have any wishes tell us and we will change them quickly.
Thank you for the first submission of
Elegant Box. I like the simple concept of the outside with the marbled interior. However, the most important aspect of the box is how it looks when it is closed and you do not show this view. I had also requested multiple box designs (at least 4) and you have only submitted one. Also, the box will be adorned with a separate ribbon. It can not be part of the box or fused to the box. The challenge is to create a box design that is limited to printing options only. No variations on box die cut or extra materials. The only non printed adornment would be a simple ribbon. Thank you.

PCB REVERSE
Reverse engineer PCB board from CAD files. Provide all design formats necessary to manufacture PCB to include: Schematic Diagrams Bill of Materials Gerber Files ORCAD DSN files Printable PDF files for all schematics, board component layouts, each separate layer, drill files, solder masks, and dimensions.
Bas Relief Panels
Create bas relief panel models to be CNC routed from MDF sheet. I will provide exact panel dimensions, sketches of the design and images to be modeled. Photos of similar examples attached.
Large 3D bookshelf backstop
Inspired by the historical visual progression of mainboards, we are looking for an innovative design to use as the back of a large shelving unit.
We are looking for a design to go in a display case. The display case will then be used as a holder for glass shelves.
Think of it almost like a glass bookshelf. Except, instead of the back being a cheap piece of board held on with tack nails like a shelf from IKEA, the back will be the design you come up with.
Dimensions:
8ft wide
3ft high
1-3in deep
The case is being used to display tech items. So we would like the design to reflect technology. Think mother board but on our scale.
The original thought was to collect old motherboards, including ram and cpus. We were then going to lay them out on a 8x3 piece of plywood and glue them.
Instead of this, we now want to get a design that a CNC machine can make.
Material used:
Wood and old metal.
The design should induce a feeling of technological progression. So from left to right the design should transition from old circuit board tech, to current tech, to possible future tech (this part is open for interpretation)
As an example, in the attached picture, the green part is what we want to replace with our 3D circuit board idea. Please note that the picture is just one from google and does not represent the actual shelf we are building The entire shelf will sit on top of a table, meaning that it will be at eye level for the average person.
Shadow Study with basic 3d Model
Create 3d block models of 3 homes. We need to see the effect the shadow of the middle home effects the house to the East.
Each of the 3 homes will not need a lot of detail. The house must be placed in a real world location.
Engineering design: extending foundation pile support
3 different components need to join together to form 1 piece.
The combined assembly is a clamp on system, that clamps onto 36" diameter pipe, then when hydraulic pistons are activated the arms extend and lock out to approximately 45deg.
I have attached schematics showing in 2d what I am after. Potential for significant future work for winning designer.
