Tyler Food Truck Park
We have a vacant lot that we are planning to launch as a food truck park. We need design ideas for the layout of the food trucks (6 trucks). We need to figure out best method for getting trucks in and out of the property each day. Each truck needs to have a pad for parking with electric service. We also need to design an outdoor seating area for the food truck park patrons. Covered seating is a must. Picnic tables and sunblock structure with ceiling fans. Also, we need a small structure on the premises for a management office for the park (very small - one room), a small cabana style opening for a bar and two restrooms attached for guests. We'd like the perimeter of the food truck park to be enclosed with only one way in and out for guests and of course and in and out land for trucks. The park will be on the two adjoining lots shown on the attached survey and elevation. Please draw to scale!! We don't have any set-back limitations.
Locking slider for dog & cat collar
We want a lockable slider design for manufacturing. When using the dog or cat collar, the collar webbing itself is sometimes not fixed in the same position and is slippery due to its material (say if it is made of nylon or other soft / shiny material), it can cause danger to pets if it moves apart. Cats may scratch and tighten their neck as a result. So we need a locking slider that can hold the webbing in place. It needs to easy and safe to use, not causing danger to pets.
Naples Renovation
Greetings from Florida! I have as-is complete working drawings and structural engineering. Have plans for a renovation. I need to convert the floorplan to cad, and then draw the renovation plan. The first phase is 1; to convert just the floorplan page, and 2; do a demo plan, and 3; draw the renovation plan. There will be future phases to create working drawings to be used for structural plans and a permit package. The plan is attached below and the budget is for Phase 1 only. I am a general contractor and there is more business to follow if we work well together.
Design of a smart speaker for users with speech and motor difficulties
With Nuvoic Home, we aim to build a prototype of the world’s first smart speaker for users with speech and motor difficulties, allowing them to interact and communicate independently with others and their surroundings via their own, unique voice.
In this EU-funded project (https://voiceitt.com/nuvoic-project), imec partners up with the Israel-based VoiceItt to incorporate their state-of-the-art dysarthric speech recognition software into a smart speaker. The goal is to (a) investigate which technological possibilities are available by contemporary standards and (b) adapt the device following a design thinking philosophy to ensure a match with the target group.
People with speech and motor difficulties need to be able to interact with the smart speaker via their own unique voice. Auditory feedback is given via an incorporated speaker. Visual feedback can be given via a LED-ring which resides on the PCB of the microphone array (see further for details). They often have a secondary user which can help them in assisting functions such as installation of the device and one-time setup steps.
All things concerning authentication, registration and others where a screen is needed, will be done on a separate accompanying device and are thus out of scope of this design contest.
For the first prototype, we have yet to decide on the design of the speaker enclosure. The main components have been identified in a first iteration of the project, with exception of the specific touchscreen.
In attach you find some personas we created for the intended users (primary group) and the assisting persons (secondary group)
By organizing this design contest, we hope to receive several possible designs for the smart speaker that (a) allow to integrate the components specified below and (b) fit well with the restrictions and specifications imposed by our particular target group. The design submissions will be presented to our project partners and an expert panel, who will rate them on a couple of criteria: feasibility (do all the parts fit into the design), aesthetics (subjective opinion on the look and feel) and fit with the target group (ease of use, simplicity and UX tailored to users with limited fine motor skills). At the end of this review process, we will award the winning design(s). The winner and first runner-up of the contest will receive a total sum of $100.
