Automated Wash-Rinse Mechanism for 500L PVC Tank
An automated wash-rinse system for a 500-litre cylindrical PVC tank. A DC wiper motor raises and lowers the boom through the tank while the spray head at its end rotates, so the combination of vertical travel and rotation covers the full internal surface without anyone having to enter the tank.
I modelled the complete assembly in SolidWorks, sized the drive against the boom load and torque requirements, and produced the fabrication drawings. The system was then built and performance-tested as my final-year mechanical engineering project — so this is a design that exists as a working machine, not just a model.
