About this service

Turn your sketch, measured sample or component layout into CAD you can prototype and refine.

I design practical mechanical parts, mounts and electronics enclosures in SolidWorks. The focus is fit, assembly access and a clear handover, so you can take the next step with your printer or prototype supplier.

Starter package — US$320
One small mechanical part, or one simple two-piece electronics enclosure around your supplied component dimensions. We agree the geometry, mounting points and critical dimensions before detailed modelling.

You receive:
• Editable native SolidWorks part files, plus an assembly where applicable.
• STEP and STL exports for prototype review and printing.
• A dimensioned PDF drawing covering the agreed critical features.
• Print-orientation, material and fit/clearance notes for the agreed prototype process.
• Two consolidated revision rounds within the original brief.

Real build experience:
• Nylon replacement handle: measured the existing blade and user's grip, developed the CAD, and refined physical prototypes before the final SLS nylon part.
• Robot basketball: designed the shooter and its placement in SolidWorks and led an eight-person team to first place. Teammates owned other subsystems and production.
• Stairio 360: led mechanical design and contributed to firmware and operator software. Used ANSYS heat/airflow study data to assess airflow adequacy and fan operating RPM selection.

How we work:
Send sketches/photos, dimensions, component CAD or datasheets, the required function and your intended printing process. We confirm the scope and start date, review the first model, then finalise the agreed files after your feedback.

This starter package covers CAD and prototype documentation. Physical printing, parts, shipping, PCB design, firmware, complex mechanisms, production tooling and thermal analysis are quoted separately. Gallery images show previous project experience; complete robots are outside this starter scope. read less

Mechanical Design & Hardware Prototyping | SolidWorks, ESP32, IoT

I design mechanical parts and assemblies for working hardware: mechanisms, mounts and 3D-printed prototypes. When a project needs embedded control or an interface, I can connect the CAD work with ESP32 firmware and control software.

Questions and answers

Send sketches or photos, overall dimensions, critical fits, component CAD/datasheets and your intended print process/material. For an enclosure, include board outlines, mounting holes, connector locations and access requirements. Please contact me through Cad Crowd to confirm scope and availability first.

The US$320 package includes CAD files, exports, a drawing and prototype notes. Physical printing, materials, shipping, firmware and thermal/airflow analysis are separately scoped and priced. My previous builds show wider engineering experience; those complete systems are not included in the starter package.

Two consolidated rounds of geometry or fit adjustments within the agreed brief. Please group feedback with marked-up screenshots or measured prototype results. A new concept, added components or a substantially different function requires a revised quote.

Confirm scope and availability with me before ordering. The seven-day estimate runs from the agreed start after complete dimensions and reference files are supplied; client feedback or missing information may affect the schedule.
