About this service

Designed a complete mechanical assembly for a desktop/pedestal oscillating fan in Autodesk Inventor, covering the motor housing, oscillation mechanism, blade assembly, and base structure. The project was developed from concept through a fully detailed, manufacturing-ready CAD package.

Scope of work:
- Parametric 3D modeling of the fan housing, motor mount, and base assembly
- Design of the oscillation mechanism (worm gear/cam-driven yoke system) for smooth side-to-side rotation
- Blade design with airflow-optimized pitch and balanced geometry
- Motor housing and heat dissipation vent layout
- Tilt/angle adjustment mechanism for vertical positioning
- Control housing design for switch/button placement
- Material selection guidance (ABS/polypropylene housing, die-cast base for stability)
- Full 2D production drawings with tolerancing for moving/rotating parts
- BOM covering motor, fasteners, bushings, and purchased components
- DFM review to minimize part count and simplify assembly

Deliverables:
- STEP/IGES files for full assembly and individual components
- Native Inventor files (.iam/.ipt)
- Detailed 2D drawings (PDF + DWG)
