I am a mechanical engineer and structural analyst with a background in explicit nonlinear finite element analysis in LS-DYNA and ABAQUS and a particular interest in the effect of material structure on macroscopic structural behavior. I believe engineering benefits from an integrated, whole-systems approach to design, analysis, and manufacturing. In particular, I enjoy shifting the design perspective, focusing on how to positively leverage material and structural failure properties.
I haver a great desire to learn and to continuously improve. I build on first-hand experience and realize every situation is unique. I love complex and challenging problems, but believe that the most beautiful and true answers are the simplest.
