About

Louis is an industrial designer living in San Francisco. After graduating from Purdue University with a degree in industrial design, he worked as an apprentice under some of the world's most influential designers such as Karim Rashid, Marcel Wanders and Michael Graves. He’s partnered with the award-winning restaurant and hospitality firm AvroKO to create furniture & lighting designs for their unique restaurant and hotel interior spaces. He’s also collaborated with (hidden) in designing and developing their first line of furniture, lighting and home accessories to be sold online directly to customers.

Within the past few years, he worked with the major US design retailer CB2, subsidiary of Crate & Barrel, to bring his personal take on modern design at attainable prices to the masses. Gantri recently selected him to design lamps using their groundbreaking create platform with 3D printing technology, and there are 2 lamps currently available for purchase. Currently, he is the director of Industrial Design at People Against Dirty (Method, Ecover, Babyganics) and the owner of Louis Filosa Studio.
