About
I'm a freelance CAD and PCB designer in Ann Arbor, Michigan who is always on the lookout for projects, both long and short term. I've received certification in AutoCAD and design through Spartanburg Community College and I have two years of professional experience using AutoCAD, DipTrace, package assembly via DipTrace and Fusion360 as well as GrabCAD. I've worked for companies and as a freelance designer, working alongside teams and on my own and I've enjoyed every bit of it. I'm proud to offer aesthetically pleasing and functional designs with a fast turnaround rate while prioritizing my clients' personal preferences. Examples of my work can be provided upon request. - Senior Designer Brainfire Labs, LLC · May 2019 – Present 4 yrs 11 mos Livonia, MI, USA Worked with the owner to design PCB layouts, component placements and LED package routing and design. Also helped design some rudimentary electrical schematics.
- Contracted Designer Global Tech Ventures · Jan 2018 – May 2019 1 yrs 4 mos Farmington Worked remotely with a project lead/electrical engineer to design both LED packages and schematics as well as designing layouts for PCB boards and components, including copper pours, vias for heat dispersion, component layouts and traces.
Education
- Spartanburg Community College Architecture and design 2006 – 2008 I dropped out of high school early due to illness and received my GED before I was set to graduate high school. I received the highest GED test score in the state--as far as I'm aware, I still hold the record. I then completed a three year certification process in two years, skipping ahead with the department head's express permission and received a letter of recommendation from the department head as well.
Other experience
- Freelance CAD design and drafting Designed an extension on a residential home, altered existing blueprints for a restaurant in Ypsilanti, MI, drafting a new schedule of equipment and altering a raster image without image software.
