I am a mechanical design engineer with 5 years of experience in 2D and 3D design, sheet metal parts, press tool design and export packaging for leading Indian OEMs.
I work in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, and I validate designs with ANSYS static structural analysis. My work includes:
Sheet metal part design and manufacturing drawings
Press tool design: blanking, piercing, bending, drawing and compound tools
Rack, frame and pallet design with load and strength checks (ANSYS)
Container load planning and export packaging layouts
2D to 3D conversion and 3D to 2D production drawings
Reverse engineering of physical parts into CAD models
Some of my recent work: I redesigned a tractor packaging rack that raised container loading from 2 to 3 units (+50%), with 53 shipments sent and no damage reported. I also designed three press tools by reverse engineering a sheet metal lock assembly, and built and tested a working prototype of a hydraulic trolley-cum-stacker for bag handling.
