About
I'm Konstantinos, a third-year BEng Aerospace Engineering student at the University of Nottingham and a Certified CATIA Mechanical Designer - Associate. I'm part of Honeybourne Engineering, a student-led team providing mechanical and aerospace engineering support for hobbyists, startups and product teams.
I help turn an idea, sketch or existing part into useful CAD geometry, functional parts and mechanical prototypes. My services include custom CAD part design, changes to existing models, part recreation from measurements, design for 3D printing and small mechanical assemblies. I can design brackets, adapters, mounts, fixtures and electronics enclosures, and work out how custom printed parts fit with motors, sensors, bearings and standard hardware.
For mechanism projects, agreed deliverables can include a CAD assembly, individual STEP/STL files, a bought-and-printed parts list, exploded views and step-by-step assembly instructions. Printed parts, hardware, assembly and testing are included only when explicitly agreed in the quote.
CAD tools include CATIA, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Onshape and Blender. MATLAB, Python, Ansys and Abaqus support appropriately scoped analysis. My project experience includes ESA BEXUS payload development, UAV design and robotic mechanisms.
Honeybourne has Bambu Lab P1S and A1 printers for functional prototypes and custom parts. Available materials include standard and matte white PLA, green and orange PLA, tough black PLA, PETG and PETG-CF. Material, colour, print limits, checks and UK delivery are agreed before printing.
You work directly with me to define the brief, dimensions, component interfaces, budget and handover. Where a project needs additional Honeybourne team support, we agree that involvement before work begins. Send your sketch, dimensions and intended use so we can scope the next step.
