I'm a structural steel detailer and quantity surveyor with 10 years' experience, currently working in the UK for a specialist steel and construction contractor.

I produce workshop-ready fabrication packages in Tekla Structures, Advance Steel and AutoCAD: clash-checked 3D models, GA and erection drawings, assembly and part drawings, material and bolt lists, and NC/DSTV and IFC files. My work covers portal frame and multi-storey steel buildings, mezzanine floors, staircases, access platforms, balustrades and gates.

I don't just draw. I understand the full project life cycle, from take-off and pricing through detailing to fabrication and site. When drawings have gaps or conflicts, I raise clear RFIs, coordinate with architects and structural engineers, and follow them through until they're resolved. My QS background means accurate material lists and take-offs you can price from.

I work in metric or imperial, using Eurocode/BS EN, AISC, CISC or AS/NZS sections and bolts, for clients in the UK, Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
