I help manufacturing and industrial companies recreate, improve, and optimize mechanical components when original drawings are unavailable, outdated, or when existing parts have become worn or damaged.
My main focus is reverse engineering of worn and used mechanical parts. I work from the physical component to understand its geometry, dimensions, interfaces, and functional requirements, then develop an accurate 3D CAD model and 2D manufacturing drawing using CATIA V5 and AutoCAD.
But reverse engineering doesn't always mean simply reproducing the original part.
When possible, I also analyze the existing design and look for opportunities to improve the component compared with its original configuration — for example by improving strength and durability, optimizing geometry, simplifying manufacturing, reducing material usage, or addressing recurring failure points.
