Naval engineer with five years taking vessels from field measurements to production drawings. Structures Engineer at COTECMAR, Colombia's naval shipyard, and MSc candidate in Naval Engineering at the Escuela Naval 'Almirante Padilla'.
Over 20 delivered projects on yachts, fishing vessels and tankers from 8 to 30 m. I cover the full chain: dimensional survey of existing hulls, 3D reconstruction and lines plans, hydrostatics and stability booklets, resistance and propulsion, structural scantlings, and production drawings. For composite hulls I run FEA in ANSYS ACP — most of the fishing fleet I have worked on is fibreglass laminate.
I am comfortable with undocumented vessels: boats built by eye at local yards, with no drawings and no weight data. Reconstructing that baseline so a modification can be proven safe is what I do best.
