I am a Lead Mechanical CAD Designer with 22+ years of experience in the Automotive industry. I possess a AAS degree with a major in Engineering Design. I specialize in the use of Siemens Nx software but I also have past experience using Catia, Solid Edge, Autodesk Inventor and Autocad. I have product design experience in numerous product spaces including light vehicle, commercial truck and off highway, U.S. military and more. I specialize in elastomer centric components and assemblies used in conjunction with other materials for suspension, ride control, exhaust isolation and more.
My scope of work involves 3D design of components, assemblies, assembly tooling and mold tooling. I create 2d drawings and or PMI where I generate all content such as views, dimensions, notes, GD&T and tolerance schemes relevant to mating assemblies.
I have experience designing products in many materials such as steels, aluminum, elastomer, polymers and more.
My experience includes design knowledge of many manufacturing processes such as castings, forgings, cold heading, weldments, stampings, molded elastomers and polymers along with 3D printed polymers.
