• 3d artist None · Freelance Aug 2024 – Present 1 yrs 11 mos United Kingdom I have recently completed an HND in Jewellery Design and Manufacture, where I developed a strong foundation in both traditional jewellery-making and digital CAD design. During my studies, I worked on a wide range of jewellery projects including rings, pendants, earrings, brooches and sculptural pieces, taking designs from initial research and sketches through to CAD modelling, 3D printing, casting preparation and hand finishing.
  
  My CAD experience includes using Rhino and MatrixGold to create jewellery models, develop stone settings, build ring forms, experiment with organic and geometric shapes, and prepare designs for rendering, printing and casting. I have worked with split shanks, claws, bezels, tapered forms, gemstone layouts, repeated patterns, extrusions, sweeps, cutters and control-point editing.
  
  Alongside CAD, I have practical workshop experience in saw piercing, soldering, filing, polishing, wax/resin model preparation, casting clean-up and basic stone-setting preparation. This practical knowledge helps me create CAD designs that are realistic, wearable and suitable for manufacture.
  
  My jewellery work has received recognition through student design awards and exhibitions, including awards from the Scottish Gemmological Society and Trades House of Glasgow. These experiences have helped me build confidence in presenting my work professionally and developing designs to a high standard.
  
  Before jewellery, I worked for many years as a chef, which gave me strong attention to detail, discipline, organisation, time management and the ability to work under pressure. I now bring those skills into jewellery design, focusing on careful craftsmanship, clear communication and reliable project development.
