I'm Allan Malinga, a professional architectural designer based in Uganda, East Africa with 4 years of design experience. My experience thus far has enabled me specialise in residential, commercial, leisure and hospitality project design within my home country with the goal to spread my roots across borders.
I appreciate collaborative work environments because this aids my goal to transform an idea into a clear, buildable, industry-ready design using well designed plans and production of 3D visualisations that offer a glimpse of the idea into the real world.
Software I specialise in: ArchiCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Enscape, SketchUp, Lumion.

My role was to research, develop concepts to designs, design the projects, produce photorealistic 3D visualisations and then followed by working 2D drawings to comply with state codes and standards to acquire a building permit and thereafter develop a set of construction drawings for the project.
Site visits and supervisions were included in my work description to get me more acquainted with the site and the various works that were ongoing or set to begin and this builds a collaboration between me and the rest of the building the team consisting of engineers, surveyors and more - Intern Architect KHC Architecture Ltd · Internship Jun 2024 – Aug 2024 2 mos Kampala, Central Region, Uganda My internship here exposed me to the professional work life of an architect. This strengthened my software skills to match real world markets as well as client collaborations as i attended site meetings and client meetings. My role included design works and production of 2D project working drawings for various projects
