  VCE is seeking an experienced Senior Design Drafter to support our team on a casual, part-time and ad hoc basis, with the potential for hours to increase as project needs evolve.
  
  This is a remote-first contractor role suited to someone based in Australia who has strong senior drafting experience in water and wastewater engineering. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented drafter who can assist with project-based work, overflow drafting and technical documentation as required.
  
  The ideal person will have a minimum of eight years’ experience in design and drafting and be confident working across water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including pump stations, pipelines, structural detailing, process and instrumentation diagrams, and related civil engineering documentation. It is desirable that the candidate has knowledge of SEQ code. 
  
  The role will involve working closely with VCE’s Managing Director and broader project team. You will be supported through regular communication on ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒, clear project direction and access to experienced people who understand the technical requirements of the work. While this is a remote role, you will not be working in isolation.
  
  Responsibilities may include:
  
  * Preparing and updating design drawings for water and wastewater projects
  * Drafting pump stations, pipelines, structural details and related infrastructure
  * Preparing and revising process and instrumentation diagrams
  * Working from engineering markups, sketches, notes and project documentation
  * Supporting project delivery on an ad hoc or overflow basis
  * Maintaining accuracy, consistency and quality across drawings
  * Communicating clearly with the Managing Director and project team via Teams
  * Meeting agreed deadlines for project-based drafting tasks
  
  The successful candidate will have:
  
  * Minimum eight years’ experience in senior design drafting or equivalent drafting experience
  * Experience in water and wastewater infrastructure
  * Strong drafting skills and attention to detail
  * Proficiency in relevant CAD/drafting software
  * Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment
  * Strong communication skills
  * Australian-based availability
  * Flexibility to work on a casual, part-time or project-by-project basis
  * Willingness to grow with the role as project demand increases
