Experience

  • Mechanical CAD Designer Self-Employed · Freelance Aug 2025 – Present 8 mos Islamabad, Islamabad Capital Territory, Pakistan I work on independent and academic mechanical design projects, with a focus on 3D CAD modeling, 2D drafting, basic engineering analysis, and manufacturable design. My main goal is to turn rough ideas, sketches, and technical requirements into clean, accurate, and practical CAD models.

I use tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Ansys, and MATLAB/Simulink for mechanical modeling, assemblies, simulations, and engineering calculations. My experience includes designing mechanical parts, creating assemblies, preparing technical drawings, and checking designs for strength, motion, and real-world usability.

One of my main projects is a 4-DOF robotic arm, where I worked on the CAD model, mechanical linkages, kinematic structure, and basic stress analysis. This project helped me improve my understanding of part design, assembly constraints, motion, fabrication planning, and practical engineering limitations.

I also have experience working on concepts related to UAS design, renewable energy systems, heat exchanger analysis, CFD, and structural analysis through academic and independent projects. I pay attention to detail, clear documentation, and designs that are easy to understand, modify, and manufacture.

I am continuously improving my CAD and engineering skills, and I enjoy helping clients bring their mechanical ideas into a clear digital design that can be reviewed, prototyped, or further developed.

Education

  • Pakistan Institute of Engineering & Applied Sciences BS Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical, 3.04/4 2022 – 2026 Activities and Societies: Robotics Final Year Project, CAD & 3D Modeling Projects, Mechanical Design, Thermal-Fluid Systems, Engineering Simulation I am currently completing my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, with a strong focus on CAD design, 3D modeling, robotics, engineering analysis, and thermal-fluid systems. My academic work has helped me build practical skills in creating accurate mechanical parts, assemblies, 2D drawings, and basic simulations.

My main project is a 4-DOF robotic arm, where I worked on 3D modeling, kinematic design, assembly planning, and stress analysis. This project improved my understanding of mechanical linkages, motion, fabrication limits, and manufacturable design.

I also have academic experience in structural analysis, CFD, heat exchanger analysis, UAS design, renewable energy systems, and mechanical system design. I use tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Ansys, and MATLAB/Simulink for design, drafting, simulation, calculations, and documentation.

I am interested in applying my mechanical engineering background to CAD modeling, technical drawings, product design, engineering calculations, and design improvement projects.
