About
I am a civil engineer with over 10 years of experience in road and urban infrastructure design.
I work with AutoCAD, Civil Site Design, and other CAD tools to prepare alignments, profiles, drainage layouts, and detailed construction drawings.
I can assist international teams with road design, bicycle paths, parking lots, and urban improvement projects.
Open to remote freelance collaborations and long-term partnerships.
Skills: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Civil Site Design, Road Design, Urban Infrastructure, CAD Drafting, Drainage, Pavement Design, Technical Drawings, Transportation Engineering.

Education
-
Univ. Gh. Asachi, Iași
Bachelor of Engineering, Railways, Roads, and Bridges Engineering (CFDP)
2010 – 2014
During my studies, I gained solid knowledge in civil and transportation engineering, focusing on the design, construction, and maintenance of road, bridges and railway infrastructure.
I studied topics such as road geometry, pavement structures, drainage systems, bridge design, and traffic safety.
I also worked with engineering software like AutoCAD and SAP for preparing technical drawings and geometric models.
The program included both theoretical and practical courses, preparing me for real design work in infrastructure projects.
Other experience
-
Ham Beringen Highway
Highway E313 (Ham - Beringen)
Based on the project documentation, here's a summary of the work completed:
Project Scope
1. Emergency Lane Conversion (Km 50.0 - Km 57.7)
- Converted the emergency lane into a rush-hour traffic lane (spitsstrook)
- Designed emergency refuges (pechhaven) every 500m, measuring 100m long × 4m wide
- Installed portal structures every 500m to inform drivers when the new lane is open or closed
- Added portals at highway entrances and exits
2. Highway Access Modification (Km 51.2)
- Redesigned the highway entrance ramp to comply with current safety regulations
- Demolished the old access route and replaced it with green space
- Created new access alignments meeting modern traffic safety requirements
## Design Challenges & Solutions
Lane Design:
- Sketched lanes with appropriate widths based on design speeds
- Carefully measured lane widths considering marking line types (interrupted vs. continuous)
- Designed alignment using clothoid curves for the highway access at 50 km/h and 70 km/h design speeds
Safety Zone Analysis:
- Determined veiligheidsstrook (safety zone) requirements
- Assessed when guardrails (vangrail/geleiderail) or concrete barriers (New Jersey) were needed
- Selected appropriate barrier resistance levels (H2) and working widths (W6)
- Positioned barriers considering minimum distances from travel lanes (objectafstand)
- Calculated minimum barrier lengths (105m: 2/3 before, 1/3 after obstacles)
Road Markings:
- Designed road markings per Belgian standards for:
- Lane delineation
- Highway entrance/exit zones
- No-traffic zones
- Bifurcations
Deliverables:
- Existing conditions plans (including demolition elements)
- Utility plans
- Proposed layout plans
- Typical cross-sections
- Alignment plans for highway entrance
- Characteristic profiles (sections)
- Traffic signage plans
- Drainage plans
- Construction details (reinforcement plans for rigid/flexible pavement connections)
