As an active member of the SAE Club at our college, I have been involved in the design and development of CAD models for various vehicle components used in student automotive projects. Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, my primary responsibility is to create manufacturing-ready CAD designs that translate conceptual ideas into practical, buildable parts.
Using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, I design key components such as chassis members, steering systems, suspension parts, and brackets with precise attention to geometry, tolerance, and assembly feasibility. Each model is developed keeping in mind real-world manufacturing constraints, material selection, and ease of fabrication.
I also collaborate closely with other design and analysis teams to ensure that every CAD model is structurally sound and optimized for performance. Through continuous iterations and reviews, I refine designs to improve strength, reduce weight, and enhance overall functionality.
