I am a kitchen cabinet and millwork CAD designer with more than 15 years of cabinetry experience and over 20 years of professional design experience overall. Since 2022, I have worked on residential and commercial kitchen projects in California, producing accurate layouts, shop and execution drawings, material estimates, and 3D presentations. My cabinetry workflow includes Cabinet Vision, Mozaik, 2020 Design, AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and V-Ray. I can develop a project from supplied dimensions, plans, sketches, and specifications into clear 2D drawings, detailed 3D models, and presentation-ready visuals. My background in industrial design and quality control helps me approach each drawing with careful attention to dimensions, manufacturability, organization, and consistency. In addition to kitchen and closet systems, I have designed laboratory benching and casework for pharmaceutical companies, universities, hospitals, and blood transfusion centers. Earlier in my career, I produced component and fabrication drawings for centrifuge equipment, industrial storage racking, lift trucks, and pallet trucks. I am based in Redwood City, California, and available for remote freelance design and drafting projects. I value clear communication, accurate documentation, and practical designs that are ready for client review and production coordination.

I have been involved in the high end, highly detailed Kitchen and Bath Design in Los Angeles. With a background in "hands-on" design and production of detailed joinery, furniture, cabinetry, exhibition show stands, point of sale displays, boatbuilding...I got involved with kitchens about 15-16 years ago and found that I had a knack for space planning and detail. Starting out in Sydney, Australia...we then moved to LA whereby I worked in a few of the best kitchen studios around. This brought my level of service in design and drafting to a whole new level of communication through comprehensive documentation and research resulting in plans, elevations, typical section details, mechanical & electrical & construction drawings. We started our own "Southland Kitchen Design Studio" in Santa Monica just before the fall of 2008. Subsequently, with my wife being from New Zealand and our 2 boys as young teenagers we bought another wooden boat to fix-up and sail to New Zealand...a homecoming for Deborah and a travel/life experience for Jacob and Isaac. Your work will help us prepare and achieve this journey at a cost effective rate for you. I no longer have great overheads and pass the savings on to you. Many Thanks...Check us out on "Science and Surf under Sail" on Facebook
