My name is Moein Shams, and I’m a CG artist. I have an M.A degree in English literature (which means I’m absolutely fluent in English), and since my father was a visual artist I’ve been learning fine arts like drawing, sculpting, painting since I was a child. A mixture of ultimate passion and curiosity towards computer animation has helped me learn multiple software at the same time. Since, I started learning I was never satisfied with a singular application exclusively. First, I started with Maya, and since there was a great debate about the clash between Maya and 3Ds Max, I learned them simultaneously beside one another, and for the time being, I know both of them like my mother tongue. Then I decided to learn Cinema 4D and the ease and convenience of this software has made 3D animation more like a fun game than a challenge. And by the advent of Blender 2.8 I made up my mind (just like any other 3D artist) to reconsider using blender for production, and as a result I fell in love with how easily you can create 3D content in blender. Needless to say that, the Evee and Cycles are a handy rendering approach that any CG artist would appreciate.

With over 2 decades of being a professional digital artist (I humbly disclose that I have been awarded for my art, I was more honoured than anything to receive such prestigious honour, I like that word better than "award" lol, it meant a lot really, and also to be honest, I felt like ALL of the artists were WINNERS, I really applauded each one, to me, we are all pieces to the puzzle, and unique in our craft!), I have worked with Inventours, Scientists, Engineers, and Architects, doing patent designing in over 25 countries, and in various industries, now for over a decade, and a half, so VERY rewarding!...as a visual artist, what I "see", I can create, from realistic landscapes, and portraits, to vectorised cartoons, and in between...I am SO thankful to have these gifts, and my PASSION lies in them where I never feel like I'm working, and where you will also see me drawing this, and that, seriously, I was watching a movie, and the next thing is, I am 3D designing my entire first floor of my home lol, and illustrating my furry binky boy (rabbit), no matter where I am, everything becomes this canvass of possibilities…I start to create whatever I see, it's like capturing the moment to enjoy later, with many layers that become one, it never becomes mundane, if anything, it gets more exciting as each moment passes...I do 2D, and 3D modelling, and rendering (AutoCAD, Sketchup, Vray), I am self-taught after sitting next to a co-worker using AutoCad for like 5 minutes, he stopped to do something else, while I opened a new project, and started playing, that was over 10 years ago, and I am still "playing" lol...I do realistic digital illustrations in Adobe Illustrator...I had such a BLAST teaching children, and young adults how to draw (both on paper, and digitally), watching their creative expression develop, SO rewarding really!...what I also love is taking someone's vision, and bringing it to life, seeing their faces as their wishes, and dreams have come true, gosh the JOY felt is BEYOND!...I am ALWAYS open to learning more, this field is constantly evolving, and I enjoy evolving with it, it makes me a better artist, and beyond humble in my craft...:)
