Greetings. I have been a CAD Drafter and Designer for 10 years. My primary work has been in civil engineering. However, I'm also a product designer, UX designer, and concept artist. My name is Carl Schumacher; I am a Freelance CAD Technician with over 40 years of experience. Over my career, I have had the privilage of working in multiple industries, needing both 2D & 3D expertise ranging from Architectural, Civil / Structural, Mechanical, Electrical & Aerospace. This diversification has greatly broadened my abilities as a CAD Technician by understanding how all the "disciplines" interact and work together to make a complete project successful. I have extensive Software experience ranging from AutoDESK (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil3D, Navisworks, 3DS Max), Bentley (Microstation, SmartPlant 3D, Smallworld), and Trimble (Field Software), to name a few. I have spent most of my career as a contractor, working under various head-hunting companies for both large and small corporations. Recently, I made the decision to strike out on my own and become a Freelance CAD Technician. I could be a great asset to your firm taking on extra work that needs to be completed quickly, using your standards, and to proper code.
