I am a steel structure CAD drafter with over 4 years of experience working in a fabrication factory in Japan. I specialize in shop drawings, assembly part details, and 3D modeling using Japanese software such as REAL4 (similar to Tekla Structures) and ARRIS 3/4 (similar to AutoCAD). Current Role: Steel Structure CAD Drafter at a Fabrication Factory in Japan Main Responsibilities: ・3D modeling of steel structures using REAL4 ・Generating material and work order lists for fabrication ・Creating 1:1 full-scale "Gensun" drawings and cutting lists ・Preparing shipment lists based on construction phases ・Creating bolt lists for site assembly Drawing Production (CAD Operator): ・General arrangement drawings (一般図) ・Part detail drawings (単品詳細図) ・Layout drawings (割付図) ・Assembly drawings (合番図) Project Workflow (Typical Tasks): ・Review and discuss structural drawings (including coordination and RFIs) ・Create base welding drawings according to JIS and fabrication rules ・Build accurate 3D models in REAL4 ・Generate total material lists for procurement ・Create shop drawings and clarify secondary steel components ・Draft general and detail drawings using REAL4 and ARRIS 3 ・Update drawings based on site changes or fabrication issues ・Produce full-scale Gensun drawings and order lists ・Create secondary structure layouts, part drawings, and assembly plans ・Generate bolt lists and site shipment/delivery lists ・I am currently refreshing my AutoCAD skills and actively studying Tekla Structures and Revit to expand my modeling capabilities. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and available for remote freelance work during Japan nighttime hours and weekends.
