We are seeking a talented, creative, and detail-oriented Freelance CAD Designer to collaborate with us on bringing new fine jewelry collections to life.
In this role, you will take conceptual themes and translate them into cohesive, stunning, and production-ready jewelry designs. If you have a passion for fine jewelry, a keen eye for detail, and a strong understanding of manufacturing standards, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
Concept to Collection: Collaborate on a designated theme or concept to brainstorm, iterate, and develop a family of cohesive designs (collections).
3D Modeling: Build high-precision 3D CAD models of fine jewelry pieces (rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets).
Design Optimization: Ensure all designs balance artistic vision with structural integrity and manufacturing feasibility.
Required Deliverables
For each finalized design within a collection, you will be expected to deliver:
High-Quality Renders: Multi-angle rendering views (front, side, perspective, and detail shots) optimized for website, catalog, and marketing use.
Production-Ready CAD Files: Clean, printable 3D files (e.g., .3dm, .stl) optimized for casting and manufacturing.
Technical Spec Sheets: Detailed CAD drawings outlining essential manufacturing metrics, including:
Estimated metal weights (e.g., 14k/18k gold, platinum)
Gemstone/diamond layouts (carat weights, stone counts, and millimeter dimensions)
Tolerances and setting details
