Hello,
I am looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer / Product Designer to transform an established aesthetic concept into a manufacturing-ready 3D CAD model (DFM) and detailed 2D production drawings for an innovative fitness/tech accessory called CLIPFLOW.
The design concept and multi-angle renders are already fully defined (see attached images). Your job will be to handle the structural engineering and optimize the parts for injection molding.
Project Scope & Component Breakdown:
1. Hybrid Clamp (Insert Molding): A spring steel core band (SAE 1070, approx. 0.8mm–1.0mm) completely encapsulated via overmolding with Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) or EPDM rubber (45–55 Shore A). Needs proper anchoring design and mold alignment solutions.
2. Articulation System: A rigid 17mm ball joint and a threaded locking collar/ring designed for PC/ABS injection molding. Requires correct draft angles, wall thickness uniformity, and surface texture specifications to handle high-friction torque.
3. Magnetic Head: A housing shell holding an N52 Neodymium MagSafe-compatible magnet array ring (Ø 60mm), ensuring optimized front-wall thickness for maximum magnetic retention.
Required Deliverables:
- Fully parametric 3D CAD models (native SolidWorks, Inventor, or Fusion 360 files) + neutral formats (.STEP / .IGES).
- 2D Technical Drawings (Pranchas) with GD&T, standardized tolerances (ISO 2768-m), part lines, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
