I am looking for a US-based Mechanical Engineer to design a compact, semi-automatic, countertop commercial food slicing machine for plantains.
Currently, we process 50 kg per week completely by hand. We need this machine to scale our production up to 100 kg of plantain pulp per week safely and efficiently.
Technical Requirements:
Mechanism: It must use centrifugal force (rotating drum with fixed blades) to produce clean, longitudinal slices (long strips).
Blade System: The cutting blades must have an adjustable thickness (between 1mm and 5mm).
Material: 100% food-grade Stainless Steel 304, compliant with international hygiene and safety standards (Sanitary design, no dead corners for bacteria).
Maintenance: The design must be compact, easily transportable, and fully detachable/disassemblable for quick cleaning and washing.
Digital Safety: It must integrate a digital safety sensor or magnetic interlock switch in the hopper area. If a hand or foreign object enters the hopper, the motor must shut off immediately and automatically.
Motor: A small, efficient commercial motor using standard commercial parts available in the US market (e.g., McMaster-Carr or Grainger).
We require the complete 3D CAD models (STEP/IGES), manufacturing blueprints (PDF), and a detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) with commercial parts and estimated costs.
