Jewelry CAD Designer Needed — [Ring / Pendant / Custom Fine Jewelry] Design
Project Overview
I'm looking for an experienced jewelry CAD designer to create production-ready 3D models for [brief description — e.g., a line of engagement rings / a custom commission / an upcoming collection]. You'll work from [sketches / reference photos / written specs / a mix] and deliver clean, castable files plus photorealistic renders for client approval.
What You'll Do
Translate concepts and references into accurate 3D CAD models
Build models that are manufacturing-ready (correct wall thickness, prong/gallery structure, proper stone seats and tolerances)
Set up models for [casting / 3D printing], with appropriate sizing and metal allowances
Produce high-quality rendered images for client presentation
Make revisions based on feedback
Required Skills & Experience
Proven jewelry CAD experience (please share a portfolio)
Proficiency in [Matrix Gold, Matrix, Rhino, Zbrush is the plus]
Strong understanding of stone setting (prong, bezel, pavé, channel) and ring sizing
Knowledge of casting and manufacturing constraints
Ability to deliver clean STL files ready for production, plus renders
Deliverables
Editable CAD source file 3dm and
Print/cast-ready STL
Render is a plus but if you can't render I will need 3dm upload on drive to render so that I can show my clients.
