About the job
U.S.-based candidates only.
Prospect Anchor & Tool is proud to be a Made in USA company. Our products are manufactured domestically, and we are committed to supporting domestic manufacturing and the broader U.S. manufacturing supply chain. For that reason, we are only accepting candidates located in the United States for this project.
We are a small U.S. manufacturer looking for contract mechanical design/CAD support for CNC-machined metal parts, tool design, fixtures, gauges, and production aids.
We already have CNC equipment and a capable machinist. What we need is someone who can take existing parts, sample parts, sketches, or new concepts and create clean 3D CAD models, STEP files, and 2D manufacturing drawings with practical tolerances.
This is not just basic 3D modeling. We need someone who understands machined metal components, tool design, fixtures, gauges, reverse engineering, tolerancing, and design-for-manufacturing. CAM/CNC programming experience is helpful but not required.
Typical deliverables would include a 3D model, STEP file, 2D manufacturing drawing, critical dimensions, tolerances, material/finish notes, revision-controlled files, and updates based on feedback from our machinist.
We would like to start with one smaller project and, if it goes well, build an ongoing relationship for future parts, tooling, fixtures, and in-house manufacturing support.
