Contract CAD & CAM Support for CNC Manufacturing
Prospect Anchor & Tool is a small U.S. manufacturer seeking a contract, freelance, or part-time CAD/CAM professional to support CNC-machined part production.
We are looking for someone who can take an existing part, sample part, sketch, or concept and create the complete manufacturing package needed for production on our HAAS CNC lathe.
Required capabilities:
• Reverse engineering existing parts
• 3D CAD modeling
• STEP file generation
• 2D manufacturing drawings with tolerances
• CAM programming and toolpath creation
• Design-for-manufacturing knowledge for machined metal components
Typical deliverables:
• Native CAD files
• STEP files
• 2D manufacturing drawings
• CAM files/toolpaths
• Setup documentation as needed
• Revision-controlled updates
Our immediate need involves reverse engineering and documenting existing components where CAD files are unavailable. Future projects may include tooling, production aids, product improvements, and new component development.
