Commercial Vehicle GPS Tracker PCB Design — Production Ready for JLCPCB
I am developing a commercial vehicle GPS tracking device targeting the fleet management market. I already have a complete BOM and clear technical requirements. I am looking for an experienced embedded hardware/PCB designer to deliver fully production-ready files suitable for JLCPCB turnkey assembly.
The device includes:
ESP32-S3-WROOM-1 (N8R8) as the main MCU
A7670E LTE Cat-1 modem
u-blox NEO-M8N GPS module
Dual MCP2515 + dual TJA1050 — two independent CAN bus interfaces
CAN1 for OBD2 communication
CAN2 for body/proprietary vehicle networks
TPS54360 buck converter for automotive power input (9–36V)
Reverse polarity protection
ADXL345 accelerometer
W25Q128 SPI flash
USB-C for firmware flashing and debugging
SIM card holder
Automotive environment and power stability considerations
Deliverables Required
Complete schematic design
2-layer PCB layout (compact form factor, target under 100mm × 80mm)
Gerber files ready for JLCPCB manufacturing
BOM in JLCPCB-compatible format with LCSC part numbers where possible
Pick-and-place (CPL) file
DFM review/check before final delivery
Important Requirements
JLCPCB assembly compatibility is mandatory
Proper LTE and GPS antenna placement and routing is critical
I will provide the full BOM; the designer should review it and flag any issues, improvements, or compatibility concerns

Have previously submitted production boards to JLCPCB or PCBWay
Be able to provide examples or a portfolio of similar completed embedded or automotive PCB projects
Budget
Fixed price: $150–$350 USD depending on experience and portfolio
Timeline
Expected timeline: 5–6 weeks for all deliverables
