We are seeking a San Diego CA experienced CAD engineer to assist with the reverse engineering of CNC milled parts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CAD software and a keen eye for detail to accurately recreate designs from existing components. Responsibilities include analyzing parts, creating 3D models, and preparing technical drawings. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring precision and quality in our projects. If you're passionate about engineering and have a strong background in CAD.
The engagement will be long-term CAD engineer for one-off projects. I occasionally need someone with your expertise to create engineering prints, primarily reverse engineering of my product line (poor engineering practices in the past), to new product development designs.
Outputs need to include all file types, STEP, IGS, PDF (2D & 3D rotational) for production.
Additionally, need someone that understands assemblies & component callouts for off-the-shelf part procurement.
