**Job Description:**
I am looking for an experienced CAD designer/drafter to prepare permit drawings for a commercial kitchen located in Manitoba, Canada. The kitchen is already installed, and I need professional drawings updated to meet Canadian fire and safety codes in order to obtain an operational permit.
**Scope of Work:**
* Prepare a detailed **fire escape route plan** in compliance with the **National Building Code of Canada (NBC)** and local fire regulations
* Make or change the **kitchen hood and ventilation drawings** to meet the requirements of **NFPA 96 (Standard for Ventilation Control and Fire Protection of Commercial Cooking Operations)** and any other Canadian standards that apply.
* Show **emergency exits, exit widths, travel distances, signage, and lighting** according to the rules
* Ensure **fire safety compliance**, including clearances, fire-rated assemblies, and suppression system coordination
* Update drawings based on any feedback from local authorities (City/Fire Department)
**Requirements:**
* Experience with **Canadian commercial kitchen permit drawings**
* Strong knowledge of **NBC (National Building Code of Canada)** and fire safety requirements
* Familiarity with **NFPA 96** and kitchen ventilation standards
