About the Role
We are building an advanced indoor wayfinding kiosk system for multi-floor environments (hospitals, campuses, offices) and are looking for an Indoor Mapping / GIS Data Engineer to join our team.
This role is critical in transforming CAD drawings into structured spatial data that powers navigation, search, and routing in our application.
You will work closely with:
Frontend team (Angular + Electron-based kiosk app)
Backend team (Java Spring Boot – routing engine)
What You’ll Do CAD & Map Processing
Clean and standardize CAD (DWG) files
Remove unnecessary layers and ensure consistency across floors
Prepare drawings for data extraction
GIS & Indoor Mapping
Use ArcGIS or similar tools to convert CAD into structured indoor maps
Create floor-wise map layers (rooms, corridors, connectors)
POI (Point of Interest) Creation
Identify and tag:
Rooms, meeting spaces
Amenities (restrooms, cafeteria)
Services (IT desk, reception)
Add metadata (name, type, capacity, accessibility)
Navigation Data Preparation
Define walkable paths (corridors, junctions)
Create navigation graph:
Nodes (points)
Edges (connections)
Align elevators/stairs across floors for multi-floor navigation
Data Export & Integration
Deliver outputs in:
SVG (for frontend rendering)
JSON / CSV (for backend APIs)
Ensure data is clean, consistent, and developer-ready
Collaboration
Work closely with backend (Spring Boot) team for routing data

Experience in indoor mapping / wayfinding systems
Knowledge of:
JSON / GeoJSON data formats
Graph concepts (nodes, edges)
Familiarity with SVG or map rendering
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in:
GIS / Geomatics / Civil / Architecture / related field
