About the job
Overview
We are looking for an experienced 3D designer to create a print-ready 3D model of a lamp based on provided reference images and a design description. The model will be printed on a Bambu Labs 3D printer, so accuracy, clean geometry, and printability are essential.
Deliverables
Final 3D model in .3MF or .STL format
CAD file with steps (for further modification) - changing parameters like height, diameter etc.
File must be fully machine-ready for 3D printing (no mesh errors, correct tolerances)
Scope
Interpret provided reference images and design description
Translate the design into a functional, printable lamp model
Ensure appropriate wall thickness, tolerances, and structural integrity
No concept design required beyond the provided references
Timeline
Deadline: 5 days from project acceptance
Fast turnaround required
Budget
Respondent to include per hour rate plus estimate of time taken
Requirements
Proven experience in 3D modeling for 3D printing
Strong understanding of STL / 3MF workflows
Experience designing functional objects (product design or lighting preferred)
Familiarity with Bambu Labs printers is a plus
Assets Provided
Shape of lamp - see below
Surface pattern: three surface patterns needed
First - similar pattern. Diagonal crosshatch weave pattern, with holes for light to pass through
Second - similar patter, except diagonal crosshatch pattern is embossed (no holes, just a deboss)
Third - wicker pattern (r...

Design description and functional requirements
1. Lamp in 2 components: Base (stand in black); shade (in white in reference image)
2. Height: max 250 mm for shade
3. Max width of of shade (diameter) - 200 mm
4. Max diameter of base (stand) - 200 mm
5. The base (stand) should have a hole cut into it which will seat a 42 mm diameter socket for the lamp
6. The base should also have a small slot for the wire to come out of - dimensions of wire are 3.2mm x 5.1mm
7. The base should also have the seating for the bulb socket at least 25 mm above the ground
8. The shade should have a space inside for the bulb - assume the bulb will be an inverted cone shaped bulb, with a diameter of 45mm at base and going up 75mm
9. Print as two separate components - the base stand (which will house the socket for the bulb, and a space for the wire for the socket to go out of), and the shade (shade)
10. The shade should either screw onto the base or sit on the base securely
11. Weight:
