Looking for an experienced glulam/mass timber structural engineer to take an existing architectural layout and deliver a fully engineered, build-ready structural design and detailing package for an indoor padel facility in Bali, Indonesia.
Project scope
- 6 standard padel courts in separate structures (approx. 20 m × 90 m footprint), 12 m clear height.
- Fully enclosed with uPVC roof and multiwall transparent polycarbonate facades.
- Coastal Bali site with tropical marine conditions requiring wind, seismic, and exposure checks.
Deliverables
- Structural concept and framing system (arches, portal frames, or hybrid timber–steel).
- Full structural calculations and design report.
- Count of required materials for structure
- Build-ready structural drawings with member sizing and levels.
- Detailed connection design (glulam-to-steel, baseplates, bracing, purlins) to “nuts and bolts” level.
- Glulam member schedule and foundation reactions for local foundation design.
- Coordination with roof/cladding suppliers on purlin spacing, load paths, and fixing details.
Experience
- Proven glulam/mass timber design experience, ideally sports halls or long-span roofs.
- Familiarity with padel/tennis covers is a plus.
