About the job
I’m looking for a reliable CAD designer or mechanical engineer to develop a professional 3D model and assembly for a durable, modular wearable vest and handheld device designed for an indoor interactive game system.
The final design must be fully 3D-printable (PETG / carbon-PETG), ergonomic, and service-friendly with replaceable panels and plug-in components.
You’ll be taking concept references and a base prototype file, then producing a Fusion 360 or SolidWorks master assembly ready for printing and testing.
Key Design Requirements:
Front & back vest shells with curved armor styling
Shoulder pods for lights/sensors (replaceable units)
Front-exit cable port for handheld device (GX12 style connector)
Housing for small electronics (ESP32 board, display, Li-ion battery)
Handheld unit with screen recess, trigger area, and modular grip
All parts printable on a 400 × 400 mm build plate
Tamper-proof screen lens system (clip-in or screw-lock)
Export in STEP + STL with basic render previews
Deliverables:
Complete editable CAD assembly (Fusion 360 / SolidWorks)
STEP + STL exports for printing
3D renders (front, rear, side)
Short print orientation / tolerance notes
Ideal Candidate:
Strong portfolio in product or enclosure design
Experience designing for FDM 3D printing
Familiarity with PETG tolerances and modular assemblies
Good communication and attention to mechanical fit
