I've attached a few examples of our shop drawing. They can get much more complex. Some online research suggests that we should be able to do the following.
AutoCAD Lisp or .NET Macros: Write scripts that take your 3D models, place them on standard layouts, generate elevations/sections, insert title blocks, and then publish to PDF.
Custom API Workflows: Microvellum exposes a lot of data (via SQL + AutoCAD). A developer could build a tool to:
Pull model geometry and metadata.
Auto-generate 2D layouts with predefined styles.
Push PDFs to a shared folder or even email them automatically.
