I’m looking for a CAD designer to create a consumer product enclosure and assembly design for a small airflow device. Think of it as a quiet nightstand appliance that delivers gentle airflow through tubing to improve sleep comfort.
This is a consumer wellness product (not a medical device). The design should be sleek, simple to assemble, and manufacturable with standard plastics (injection molding).
Scope of Work:
Design outer enclosure (about the size of a small shoebox).
Internal airflow path with mounts for:
Radial blower fan (specs provided).
Pressure + flow sensors (basic mounting points).
Small PCB/control panel space (rough allocation only, not PCB design).
Standard 19 mm hose outlet connection.
Internal muffler channel or baffles for quiet operation.
Design for easy assembly/disassembly (snap fits, screws, etc.).
Deliver manufacturable CAD, not just renders.
Requirements:
Experience designing consumer electronics enclosures (appliances, small devices).
Understanding of airflow/ducting design a plus.
Must design for ABS/PC injection molding.
Provide manufacturable files suitable for prototyping.
Deliverables:
3D CAD files (STEP/IGES).
Exploded assembly drawing.
2D drawings with dimensions/tolerances.
Notes for materials/fasteners.
