Scope of Work:
We are seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to prepare a complete, fabrication-ready design package for a fire-tube boiler suitable for [industrial/process/heating] applications. The design must be fully detailed and compliant with international codes, allowing direct handover to a fabrication workshop without requiring further detailing or engineering input.
Deliverables Must Include:
1. Design Calculations
Heat balance and combustion calculations
Steam generation capacity and efficiency
Fire-tube sizing, furnace geometry, and heat transfer area
Flue gas flow rates and outlet temperature
Pressure vessel calculations per code (thickness, stresses, reinforcements)
2. Mechanical Design
Complete sizing and mechanical integrity calculations
Tube sheet, furnace, shell, and stay bar design
Thermal expansion allowances
Insulation and refractory specifications
Chimney and platform design
3. Process Documentation
Process Flow Diagram (PFD)
Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID)
Control and safety loop overview
Fuel system and burner integration
4. Fabrication-Ready Drawings (Issued for Construction – IFC)
General Arrangement Drawing (GAD)
Detailed 2D fabrication drawings: shell sections, tube bundle, nozzles, supports, manholes, saddles, etc.
Assembly drawings and welding details
Chimney, mounting base, and access platform drawings
Complete Bill of Materials (BOM) with material specs

Design data sheet
7. Instrumentation and Control Scope
Burner management system (BMS) overview
Instrument list (pressure, temperature, level, flow)
Suggested control logic (startup, shutdown, alarms)
Control panel and electrical feed (optional)
Final Package Requirement:
All documents, drawings, and calculations must be compiled into a fabrication-ready package, fully detailed and organized for direct issuance to a workshop or fabrication contractor. No additional engineering or detailing should be needed post-submission.
Submission Requirements:
Relevant boiler design portfolio (preferably fabrication-ready examples)
List of software tools used
Project execution plan
Quotation and payment terms based on milestones
