I’m designing a custom watch case and need a Product designer or mechanical CAD engineer to help refine it for real-world production. The goal is to create a CNC-ready 3D model that’s structurally sound, waterproof, and manufactured to tight tolerances.
You don’t need watch industry experience, but must be highly skilled in:
Engineering for tight tolerances (±0.02 mm)
Designing waterproof enclosures (gaskets, crystal sealing, casebacks)
Creating models that work in metal with real machining constraints
What You’ll Get from Me:
Design intent for part layout, aesthetics, and assembly
A 3d model showing the look that i want.
Aim of final dimensions of every detail, full guide on watch design
Your Role:
Refine my case design for engineering precision
Build the 3D model to match dimensions closely — not a creative reinterpretation
Add necessary engineering details to ensure:
Waterproofing (gasket seats, crown sealing, screw threads)
Mechanical strength and part fit
CNC machinability
Suggest only what’s needed to make it structurally or functionally perfect
Deliverables:
CNC-ready 3D CAD file (STEP / IGES)
Properly split case parts: mid-case, bezel, caseback, crown tube, etc.
Optional: 2D technical drawings with tolerances (bonus)
Required Experience:
Precision mechanical parts (small enclosures, electronics, tooling, etc.)
