About the job
I am looking for an experienced jewelry CAD designer / 3D sculptor to create a production-ready 3D model of a custom memorial ring.
The ring will be 3D printed in castable resin and then investment cast in gold by myself. I therefore need a real, manufacturing-ready 3D model, not just a rendering.
Main specifications
- Ring size: US 6 (approx. 16.5 mm inner diameter)
- Band width: approximately 10โ12 mm
- 10 mm at the back, gradually widening to about 12 mm at the relief areas and narrowing back to about 10 mm around the stone
- Round 3.6 mm black diamond
- Strong sculptural six-prong setting
- Small closable chamber underneath the diamond for a small amount of my dog's ashes
Portrait of my dog
One side of the ring will feature a sculpted bas-relief portrait of my female dog.
I have several real photographs of her that I can provide as references.
It is extremely important to me that this is a genuine custom portrait of my actual dog and not a generic dog or Rottweiler design. Her individual facial features, expression, head shape, muzzle and overall character should be recognizable from the photographs.
The portrait must be actual 3D relief geometry in the printable model, not just a texture or visual effect in the rendering.
Landscape side
The opposite side should feature a 3D relief landscape with a forest, path, mountains and full moon. Paw prints and human footprints should travel together along the path, symbolizing my dog and me walki...

I will provide concept images showing the desired overall design.
Deliverables
I need a watertight, manifold, high-resolution STL suitable for jewelry resin printing and investment casting, as well as the editable source file if possible.
The model must include the actual portrait and landscape relief geometry, functional stone setting and ash chamber, with appropriate wall thicknesses for casting.
Rendered previews from several angles should be provided before final approval.
Experience with jewelry CAD, ZBrush/organic sculpting, portrait reliefs, stone settings and investment casting is strongly preferred. Please include examples of similar sculpted jewelry work if available.
