About the job
Hi, we are looking for an experienced PTC Creo mechanical designer / mechanical design engineer in the Las Vegas area for an automotive/aerospace prototype project.
The project is already well developed. We have approximately 1.5 years of existing 3D CAD design work completed, and most of the major components have already been selected or fabricated.
Current status:
* Existing 3D CAD/Creo design files are available
* Two scale model vehicle body prototypes have already been made
* The body prototypes have been physically modified and refined, so the CAD model now needs to be updated to accurately match the actual prototype
* The carbon-fiber vehicle bottom/chassis components have already been CNC cut/fabricated
* Propellers, motors and other major propulsion components have already been selected
* We now need to integrate an additional ducted fan into the bottom of the vehicle
We are NOT looking for someone to start the vehicle design from scratch. We are located in Las Vegas, Nevada, and would strongly prefer someone local who can come onsite, inspect and measure the physical prototype, and work directly with our engineer.
This can initially be a contract/project-based position.
