My foundation in traditional goldsmithing and stone setting comes from direct hands-on training within my family. My father and uncle are both experienced goldsmiths and stone setters with decades of work in Rome, and I was trained early in workshop environments where precision, craftsmanship, and production standards were essential. Alongside traditional skills, I trained as a wax model maker (lost-wax casting technique), developing strong abilities in creating detailed wax models specifically prepared for casting and fine jewelry production. In addition to my independent work, I spent one year working in one of the most established and high-volume casting workshops in Rome. There I gained practical experience in industrial casting workflows, metal behavior, quality control, and production optimization under real commercial conditions. This experience strengthened my ability to design not only for aesthetics, but also for feasibility, durability, and efficient manufacturing.
